We yearn to be unique

Different

To have something special to give

We reject the notion that we are like others

Or others are like us

Because seeing our dark selves truly reflected in others

Is like living in a boiling hot hell

But once we get acquainted to who we really are

When we understand that the darkness in our souls

Is light waiting to come through the tunnel

We finally realise that

Our own personal boiling hot hell

Is all but a luke warm pool in a

Lukewarm day

The perfect, nonchalant balance

Of a not very memorable day
